KCE has had a long-standing policy of giving back to the communities it serves. The recent creation of a community volunteer committee consisting of KCE employees was a step to take this community involvement effort to the next level by allowing its many employees to identify and organize key events. Several of the more significant programs are: Spirit of the Lehigh Valley, Habitat for Humanity, Adopt-a-Highway, RIF (Reading is Fundamental) and Toys for Tots.
Since one of the bedrocks of KCE’s corporate philosophy is employee satisfaction, KCE management created an Activity Committee which meets once a month to identify and plan employee activities. These activities which include: KCE’s Christmas party, annual happy hour, ski trip, bowling night, Reading Phillies night and various bus trips. These activities help to foster interpersonal relationships between KCE employees and their clients. The publication of a monthly internal newsletter serves to inform all employees of significant business and personal events in the lives of KCE employees.
